Cosmina Stratan is an accomplished Romanian actress, who nabbed a “Best Actress” win in 2012 at the 65th annual Cannes International Film Festival for her debut performance in the film Beyond the Hills (2012). That’s insanely impressive, but we can’t look beyond her hills, and would be happy to award her cans whenever she lets us see them. Cosmina did her schooling about fooling, which is to stay studied acting at The National university of Theatre in Bucharest, then landed the role in Beyond the Hills immediately after graduation. It’s a drama about a pair of friends who grew up in an orphanage and are struggling to remain close, largely because one refuses to leaver her convent, but we didn’t get to see Cosmina getting extra friendly with anyone. That would come later, in the horror film Shelley (2016) where she plays a mysterious woman who surrogates for a couple desperate to have a baby. The film’s subject matter may be a bit dark, but at least we get to see Cosmina’s glowing orbs light up the screen on a few occasions like while skinny dipping, nursing a wound in the tub and convulsing in the woods. Cosmina moved on to flicks like the child abuse drama An Uncertain Border (2019), and the dead dad black comedy I Never Cry (2020), Most recently, Cosmina starred in the meta, psycho director led Shakespearean drama Hamlet (2021). That one just ight launch or girl into the stratosphere of seductive actresses. We know big things have to be coming for Cosmina Stratan. She’s cosmically sexy!
